Postpartum Strength Training
Becoming a mom is one of the most physically and emotionally demanding experiences of your life.
You’re lifting, carrying, bending, feeding, and soothing — often without a moment to think about your own body.
But here’s the truth: taking care of your strength is one of the best gifts you can give yourself and your baby. Here’s why…
The Physical Benefits of Exercise:
Pelvic Floor & Core Recovery: Pregnancy and birth impact the muscles that support your bladder, posture, and stability. Targeted strength training can reduce leaking, improve core control, and rebuild your strength foundation.
Posture & Back Pain Relief: Lifting a baby dozens of times a day can strain your back and shoulders - especially if you tend to pick bubba up on one side more than the other. Strengthening your core, glutes, and upper body makes everyday movements easier, and reduce the likelihood of incurring a overuse injury.
Long-Term Resilience: Staying strong now means fewer injuries and more energy to keep up with your growing child.
The Mental & Emotional Benefits:
Reduce Postpartum Depression & Anxiety: Exercise boosts mood-regulating endorphins, helping you feel calmer and more grounded. Especially after long interrupted nights. It also helps you to sleep deeper in those moments you get to have some shut eye, improving your recovery.
Community Connection: Meeting other moms who understand your reality can help you feel supported and less isolated.
Why Baby-Friendly Classes Work:
You can bring your baby — no need for childcare.
You can stop to breastfeed, cuddle, or rest anytime without judgment.
The shared experience of navigating parenthood builds instant friendships for you and your baby.
Our Classes:
At Sweatworking Collective, our Womxn’s Only, Baby-Friendly, Lifting Club Classes run Mondays & Wednesdays at 10AM. We cap each class at 6 participants to ensure ample personal coaching and ensure every movement is safe and effective for postpartum recovery.
Keep the socializing going!
After class, some moms grab a coffee together after class at Dalina, just around the corner — because sometimes the best medicine is friendship…and caffeine.
You deserve to feel strong, confident, and supported.
